The plastic layers of the innovative multilayer canister are many times denser than those of a traditional monolayer HDPE canisters. Thanks to the impermeable layers, the canister walls are thinner, which reduces the amount of raw materials used and thus, the weight of the canister.
The raw material and technology used in this multilayer canister prevent the packed material from penetrating through the canister wall. The barrier layer keeps oxygen and impurities on the outside of the canister and petrol fumes, gases, and chemicals on the inside of the canister. The contamination risk is smaller, as the contents are not exposed to air.
The multilayer canister keeps its shape, does not bloat or get dented, because the evaporation percentage of the canister is very close to zero. The UN approved novelty canisters are well suited both for technochemical products and for foodstuffs.
The multilayer canister is a sustainable choice. The carbon footprint of a 5-litre canister is 24 % smaller than that of an equivalent traditional canister. 24 % less plastics is required for its manufacture.
